In the Spotlight - SHARON MARTIN OF PS BENEFITS

Our resident “motorcycle mama”, Sharon Martin of PS Benefits, shared a few minutes out of her day to give us the inside scoop on her life and business. Thank you to Sharon for sharin’!
 A Southern California native, Sharon owns her own business. You might assume that the “PS” in “PS Benefits” stands for “Pretty Sassy” if you get to know Sharon, but it actually stands for “Profit Strategies.”
Sharon worked as a Finance and Investment Manager for over twenty years when she decided to take the plunge into owning her own business. Her business specializes in assisting small employers find benefits for their employees, including health insurance and retirement plans, at a manageable cost. Not a small feat in this day and age but Sharon is up to the task.
A vibrant and contributing member to our EAC board, Sharon and her husband love to travel. They gravitate toward warm climates with interesting history. They have traveled to the Yucatan Peninsula and Costa Rica. Belize is next on the list. She and her husband hope to see the Mayan Ruins.
Most weekends, Sharon can be found atop her Sportster Harley Davidson motorcycle. Her favorite routes include her annual motorcycle ride to Lake Tahoe and closer runs to the Sierra Nevada mountains.
When she’s not zooming around, Sharon and her family give love and attention to their rescue dogs, two border collie mixes and one rottweiler. Monty, Lola, and Ceasar are properly spoiled. Monty and Lola (the border collies) are in agility training. The border collies were saved from a shelter in Bakersfield and Ceasar from a shelter in Arizona.
Sharon described her three years with EAC as both fun and informative. Her role as Treasurer of the East Ventura County Employer Advisory Council ensures she is a valuable board member. She also says “the information provided at EAC meetings helps me run my business and better serve my clients.”
